Status of the well at

Moi’s Bridge School in Western Kenya

We have exciting news to share with you. We recently received an email from Kevin Smith who works with an Assembly of God organization called Africa Oasis. Kevin has confirmed that they have struck water while drilling the well in a Moi’s Bridge School in Western Kenya. Moi’s Bridge has 1,500 Children who are in need of drinkable water. Below is Kevin's email.

Hi Pastor Charles,

We are doing well.  Thank  you.

There is good news about the bore hole at Moi’s Bridge school.

The drill rig was transported to the location and has completed drilling to 160 meters!  They hit a lot of water - approximately 10 cubic meters per hour is the initial estimate by air-lift.  Now the hole has to be test pumped and ‘cleaned’ for 12 hours which requires a different machine from Nairobi.

I will be meeting with Brother Njiri to discuss the options on what type of pump and water storage system to develop.  I’ll do my best to keep you informed.

In the first week of September I hope to travel to Moi’s Bridge and take photos to send back to you.  I hope that can help to meet your media needs.  Sorry I don’t have any pictures of it yet.

Thanks for all your help for these children.

Praising the ‘Living Water,’

Kevin

We learned that the location of the well is a few miles from where many people were burnt inside of an Assembly of God Church during the political violence that occurred in 2008. We hope and pray that the well shall send a message of reconciliation and healing to the communities that live in this region. Praise God!
